Chapter Ninety - Three

AMELIA'S POV

When I arrived in Homeland, it wasn't the same as when I left it.

Sniffling, I covered my nose as the thick fumes from the train station made me more sick.

God help me that I got home safe and sound.

I felt like sitting down.

"Hello, pipsqueak."

"Oh, fuck! Thank God. I was going to faint anytime soon." I heaved a deep breath of relief and smiled at the tall man in front of me.

"Grace told me to come get you. Said you were talking about some strange illness." The man in front of me said, grabbing two pieces of luggage in one hand.

I sighed.

Thank God!

I was going to faint.

"Thank you, Dan." I mumbled.

"Anything for you, princess," Dan said, pointing at the old truck he brought.

Why was everyone bringing trucks today?

"Why didn't you bring another car?" I frowned.

Dan chuckled.

"I almost left this one as well, we would have taken the train if Grace didn't convince me that you were sick and ready to drop dead. God bless that woman." Dan said, dramatically.
