Chapter Twenty - Two

EVE's POV

Her nickname at the office was The Angel. There was a cleaner, an old woman who was the one to begin this trend. I don’t remember what happened but Alexis had helped the woman out with an issues of sorts and the woman had begun to declare her as The Angel. Even the security guys liked Alexis. The usual bar we frequented to drink, the bartenders all loved Alexis.

I’d had a good number of co-workers being romantically attracted to her. Yet, Alexis had to even be so decent as to rebuff the many romantic offers. I even heard one of the bosses, an hotshot had taken her out on a dinner date once clearly interested in her yet Alexis had declined his offer too.

There was also the rumor that she was a virgin. Those who peddled the rumor had overheard her roommate once and then taken into account the way she stayed away from provocative outfits, movies, speeches and gestures.
