Alpha Axel's POV

As I entered the dimly lit dungeon where Ardolf the usurper was being held captive, I could feel his eyes boring into me. His smirk only widened as he saw me approaching.

"You finally decided to come see me, Alpha," he sneered.

I ignored his taunts and turned to the guards standing by. "Inject him with vervain," I ordered, knowing that the herb would hinder his ability to shift into his werewolf form.

Ardolf winced as the needle pierced his skin, the effects of the vervain already starting to take hold. I took a seat opposite him, studying his face for any sign of weakness.

"Why do you want to take over my pack?" I demanded, my voice firm.

Ardolf simply chuckled, his eyes glinting with malice. "Why not? Your pack is weak, and I am strong. It's only a matter of time before I claim what is rightfully mine."

I felt a surge of anger at his arrogance. "You will never be Alpha of this pack, Ardolf. You are nothing but a traitor and a coward."
