Zayden’s P.O.V.

Although it wasn’t my intention to fight with Helena over Carver’s issue, Alex’s report about his presence in her house short-circuited my brain. His scent had contaminated all of Helena’s dresses and even her bedroom.

Was he really the one in her heart?

Or was he better in bed than me?

Contrary to my original fears, this simple confrontation turned ugly pretty quickly, Helena’s presumptuous accusation about our second wedding anniversary flabbergasted me. Then she mentioned Sylvia’s indulgence in the matter of confession.

What the hell happened five years ago?

“What do you mean by Sylvia’s letter? When did she come to see you?”

It seemed that Helena had blurted out this detail. Her face reddened as she fidgeted with her sleeves.

“Forget about what I just said.”

Then she fixed her already smooth hair, making me suspicious even more. These were her signature gestures while lying. Helena wasn’t a person comfortable deceiving other.

I get her pain. But she shouldn't lie on the babies like that. I hope he sees through her lies and corrects ALL of the mistakes for his puppies' sake.
