Chapter 39: Good News

Killian's number was something I didn't forget because we were much closer. As I brought my phone out, I quickly dialed his number.

Although I had told myself that I wasn't going to get myself involved in anything about my past. Apart from Anita, I badly wanted every other thing gone forever, but today I had no idea why I wanted to find out what was going on with Tyler.

"Hey," I started and suddenly became quiet because I found myself contemplating whether to say the words that I had in mind or not.

"Who's this, please?' I heard Killian's voice multiple times, but I still didn't reply. My heart was racing so fast, and somehow I was scared of nothing.

"Killian." I suddenly called his name without expecting him to recognize my voice immediately, but he did. "Emily? Is that you?"

Even I was shocked. I smiled for only a few seconds and answered, "Yes Killian, it's me."

I could hear the happiness in his voice as he spoke to me. "Where are you, I'll come to you immediately."
