Alpha Dominic Knight’s POV:

I was hurt and devastated but not angry. I had expected this type of reaction from her. She was a victim of slavery who had to put up with those stupid higher rank wolves harassing her. But I decided to keep her close to me only because I wanted to take care of her.

I had to show her that she was loved and I cared for her well-being. I had no regret in confessing my love to her. She was my destined mate, and I was no doubt falling for her.

I stood at the palace’s exit and made my way to the garden. It was pitch dark, and almost everything was invisible to normal human eyes but not mine. My chamber caught my attention as I walked along the perimeter of the walls and stopped moving. Looking up, I caught sight of my lovely mate seated beside the window. She couldn’t see me, but I stared at her eternal beauty. I rarely looked at her face properly because we were always fighting or just being rude to each.
