Healing the trauma.

Astrid’s POV:

I walked along with Alpha and Carolina as we reached the secret dungeon Amaira was locked in. Beta Alexander was waiting for her, standing outside with his hands around his chest. He had a mix of disgust and anger flashing across his stern features.

“She’s inside, and I don’t want to set my eyes on her again.” Beta Alexander gritted his teeth.

“We have to. The time has come for her to face the consequences of her wrongdoing.” Carolina touched his hand, and he unlocked the rusted door to let us go in.

It was too dark in there. There was no entrance for sunlight or even air inside the dungeon. It was such a scary place to be locked for even a day. My heart raced as I recalled my miserable days spent in the pack when Amaira used to torture me for fun.

“Alpha,” she cried when we entered. She had her hands chained to the wall and sat on the floor with her face buried in her lap. Upon noticing us, she stood up and collapsed at Alpha’s feet.
