Astrid’s POV:

Although

my heart was still pounding in my chest, I succeeded in standing next to Lucas,

who had been searching for me. After the wild encounter with Alpha Dominic in

the hallway, I wondered if he truly felt hurt or was just pretending.

I felt

a warmth in my chest and a smile that won’t leave my face. I felt a newfound

confidence and security, knowing he had at least begun to care for me somewhat

deeply and wanted to be by my side.

Not

just him but Lucas too was a good new friend. He came as a surprise which I

hadn’t expected.

I felt

a sense of relief and contentment, knowing that I was not alone and now had a

friend, someone to rely on and share my life events with.
