Trevor POV The news had me head spinning. I worried that Stella was not happy about finding out she was pregnant. And pregnant with twins, none the less. She looked anxious and stressed out. Maybe it was everything all happening around us. I tried not to overthink it. I had asked if she wanted to get married and she snapped at me. I should have kept my mouth shut and planned something and really propose. I looked like an asshole! I was going to do that, I decided. I would get with Collin tomorrow and go buy a ring and plan something special for the two of us. Or was it the four of us? The others had come back from the group pack house and were making lots of noise in the kitchen. Stella wanted to just get it over with and tell them, so that was what we were going to do. We walked out to the living room. June, Kyle, Collin, Silas and Coraline were all there around the kitchen island, goofing off, tearing into a few boxes of pizza they must have picked up along the way home from the pa
Stella POV "So Alpha, why are we really here?" The words hung in the air as Trevor and I looked at each other, then back over at Sam and his mate, Emily. I could see Trevor wiggling his fingers around the top of his wine glass. "Alpha Jones has contracted scientists. He's working on something with forsaken blood. I'm assuming he wants to use it like he did when he tried to have Stella killed. I don't have a lot of information as to what he is actually doing. It's hard to get intel. The only reason we know is Stellas Mother" I watched their reactions go from shocked to understanding. They were listening intently. "My Mother crossed our borders to tell me that my Father was coming after all of us. And that he was using forsaken blood. Well, she told me that he was using scientists to do something with the forsaken blood. We need to gather as much information as we can regarding the blood and the venom. We have to get ahead of this." Emily nodded, reaching her hand out to me acros
Trevor POVThe sun was beginning to rise as we made our way back to the house. The sun rays were peaking through the holes in the trees. A few pack guards escorted Rebecca closely. She would be speaking with me later on once I cleaned up and calmed down. If I spoke to her now, I'd slit her throat in a second. I was trying to wrap my head around the fact that one of my own pack members had tried to hurt or maybe even kill my mate. The snow crunched under my paws as the house appeared in the distance. I looked over at Stella who was walking next to me, her white fur covered in blood. Her restraint to not kill Rebecca was impressive. I would have her checked out by one of the pack doctors when we got back, just to make sure her and the babies were okay. She sustained a few injuries while we were out there but healed quickly, so I was hopeful that she would be just fine. She huffed as we neared the house, the hairs on the back of her neck standing up straight. She looked at me, and I rea

The jail was on the other side of town from my house. Two guards and a sherrif were there, waiting for my arrival. I pulled the small sports car up into one of the parking spots and hopped out, lifting my heavy body out of the low riding car. I swung open the heavy duty door, walking in under the bright floruscent lights. The hallway was simple, green tiled walls, a few different photographs on the wall. I stepped into the Sherrifs office as him and two others were sitting at his desk, drinking coffee. He looked up when he heard my feet. "Alpha, sir. Good morning" He tipped his coffee cup towards me, and I nodded in return. "Where is she?" I was in no mood for small chat this morning. I wanted to get back home before Stella woke up. He nudged his head in the direction behind him, pointing towards the drunk tank windows. There she was, sitting against the wall, one wrist cuffed and hanging from the bar that was about two inches above her head. She looked up when she heard the She
Stella POV We had spent a few hours identifying all of the forsaken bodies left out in the woods after my Fathers attack. He had retreated when he realized that his pack was losing quickly. Unfortunately, Rebecca had distracted me and I was unable to go after him. Trevor ordered out and had some chinese food delivered to the house, and asked everybody to leave except for the few that were standing guard outside the house. He had sent Sam and Emily back home with a few guards until they were over in their pack lands. It was nice to have the house to ourselves. We sat on the couch watching a movie, snacking on each others chosen entrees. "What do you want to do about Rebecca?" He asked me with a mouth full of chow mein noodles. I rolled my eyes at him, pointing to my mouth. He kept chewing. Rebecca hadn't really crossed my mind much this evening. I wanted to pretend like our lives were somewhat normal. I worried that they would never be normal, that we would forever be fighting som
Trevor POV I was driving over 100mph to get back to the house. It was late, and I was at one of the border checks for an issue with a few wolves trying to cross that weren't Bloodsuns and had no excuse as to why they were crossing. Right now, we weren't letting anybody in, and we weren't taking any chances. I had left Kyle at the house with Stella, knowing I could trust him with her. But when I heard him call out to her through the mindlink, I panicked. "Stella!" I called out to her through the mindlink. No response. She had killed a random man in our bedroom, apparently. A million different scenarios were running through my head. I shouldn't have left her, I thought. I whipped the large black SUV into the driveway, ramming through the gates before they were opened all the way. The tires skidded to a hault as I pulled up to the front of the house, jumping out without barely putting it into park. The front door was wide open. Foot prints led up to the house. No guards were around.
