Chapter eighty five

Luka’s POV

That night, the guards and moved into the woods and I kept commanding them to go further.

There was no way we were going to stop until we found her.

I didn't want to believe that she had run away, I didn't want to believe that she left me.

It was impossible.

Didn't she just say that she missed me? How does one run away from people they miss?

Was it so difficult for me to understand that? Or was my head still filled with nonsense?

The forest became more of a maze and we lost all sense of time. It was pitch black around us and our torches flickered in the distance like dying fireflies.

I needed to find Emily.

My Wolf howled in me, my mind was clouded by darkness, my heart pounded hard at my ribs. A deep, desperate roar of blood filled my ears. My wolf’s claws scratched at my brain and its eyes burned at my soul and I screamed back.

We were on the edge of an abyss when we saw her light ahead of me and now she left us by ourselves? How could she?

How dare her.
