Luka's POV

“Are you going somewhere, Sir?” Alfred asked me after I told him to get the car ready.

“I don't see why my movement is any of your business Alfred,” I said, taking a sip from the coffee cup inhis hand. He had made it for me before he left.

He knew I liked it black and bitter.

“I am sorry Your Majesty,” he said, sounding more than a little guilty. “Please allow me to drive

you wherever you are going, if you would like.”

“You are the last person who should be asking,” I told him bluntly.

He shrugged and took a deep breath, “Fair enough” he said. “But may I ask just where you plan on going? It is not far from here to

your castle. The weather forecast predicts heavy rain for later this evening.” He looked down at his watch and then back up at me.

His eyes were filled with concern. I didn't want to make him sad. He was only trying to help me.

He had been of most help to me since Emily.

But I didn't want him to know that I was going to see Elena.
