Frier’s POV

“she’s awake”

I identified that voice as Alex, Nicklaus friend who happened to be a doctor. Emily had mentioned him before but it seems there was more to the story but that wasn’t what I should be worried about right now, should it?

Hell no! I’ve got more than enough troubles at hand, I was currently hiding under Emily’s medical bed like a thief soon to be captured and I dearly hope that wasn’t the case.

I couldn’t figure much that was going on but I deduced that Emily didn’t want to converse with them, and by them I mean Alex! She hadn’t said a word to him regardless of the fact that he was the one who rescued her. I’ve always pictured Emily as an easy going person so whatever’s making her react this way must be serious.
