Chapter 196: He’s the father

Frier’s POV

My mouth flew open and when I glanced at Bella she was in the same shocked state as me or maybe even worse. At least I had some heads up in the past. Emily had mentioned that they were getting close, I just didn't know when they kicked off and even ended things!

I noticed that Bella tried to speak but Emily spoke again and this time our shocked expressions morphed into sheer anger.

“He’s getting married soon”

Those words paused my lips and turned my taste bitter. I immediately had a vague understanding of how everything played out. What was I expecting?

A viper like Nicklaus would only keep such friends! The thought of this was unnerving and Bella shared my same pain cause I heard her vent.

“Such an asshole! If I had known earlier I would’ve given him a piece of my mind. He had the guts to look dejected after what he did!”
