I stepped outside after I was led out by some guards to the pack ground. Everywhere and everything was a mess. There were dead people, soldiers, and pack members all over the place.

The enemies, their troupes, the empire elders were already gone. They couldn’t get what they came for, but I know they would probably attack again very soon just to get what they always wanted.

Aurora was the problem. Maybe that was why my spirit never aligned with her, maybe that was why I hated and detested her. She was trouble on her own, and wherever she stepped, there would be trouble too.

The pack was now in ruins because of her. If she had never come back, if Ralph had never gone to her father’s pack to save her, all of this wouldn’t have happened.

I hated the fact that Ralph allowed this to happen. This pack was very peaceful, it was a silent and flourishing one. We had no cases or complications that would require us to go to war or for some people to come to attack us.
