Chapter 13 Danger

I wake up very early on Monday morning and prepare for work. I went to check Aria in her room while I am already fully dressed. Too bad, I won't be able to take her to school today. I don't want to be late for work since I didn't go to work yesterday.

I peck Aria on her cheeks while she was still sleeping and turn to leave when suddenly her tiny hand holds me from behind. I turn around and my eyes met with Aria whose eyes were already half awake.

"Mummy, are you going to work already?" She asks with her tiny voice.

"Yes, my princess, I will be leaving now."

"But Mommy won't you take me to school first? you promised to be the one to take me to school today" She says with her eyes fully open as she stares at me with her cute green eyeball which always reminds me of the one who is not to be mentioned.

I take in a deep sigh and try to come up with something. These days my daughter and I don't usually have girls' time anymore due to how busy I have been with work but, this is for her good.
