Chapter 23 In His Office

CLARA'S POV

Tricia noticed the sad look on my face as I opened the door while we all walked in. She was even talking to me but I was already zone off not hearing any of her words. The only thing I saw was her moving lips.

”What is this?” She asked, referring to the paper I was holding.

” It's nothing, never mind.”

”I wanna see it” Before I could hide it away from Tricia she rushed over to me and pulled the paper off my hand. She glanced through it then she raised her eyes at me with a questioning expression.

”Clara, is this true?” She muttered after reading the paper.

”I didn't know that he is the same popular billionaire you are talking about not until today but that didn't change the fact that I am not going to accept his proposal.”

”You must be out of your mind” Tricia fired at me.

”What did you mean?” I ask, surprised at my friend's attitude to me.

”You are going to his office first thing tomorrow morning and you will be his contract wife." Tricia declares as if she is my mot
