Chapter 62

Eleanor's p.o.v

"It's fine. You will be fine." I whispered to myself with tears running down my cheek.

I couldn't stop thinking about him and every moment we spent together.

What pained me the most was how he pretended so well to be someone else. After serving me from falling, he went on to chain me to the wall. All those times he asked how my walk was, he knew about them because I was with him. I even went on to ask him for help to escape him. He was obviously laughing behind my back at how stupid I was.

When a knock came at the door, I stood up from the floor and sat on the bed.

"Come in," I said in a cracked voice then wiped off my tears.

I was sure it wasn't Ducan. He couldn't come here after what I had said to him.

"I'm sorry to bother you." A familiar voice came through the passage.

When the witch came into view, I stood up.

"You. What do you want!? Are you here to kill me?" I asked loudly.

I remembered her very well. On my wedding day, she treated me roughly and badly.
