Rose laid still on the bed. Her eyes were swollen from crying until her tears dried up. She was devastated by the nightmare she had. She didn’t let anyone in no matter who because she feared what might happen.

It was not safe for her to stay here either. She must find a plan to run away and stay hidden. She looked out the window and it was already night. She felt her stomach rumbling. She had not eaten for the entire day but she did not have an appetite despite her hunger.

She rubbed her eyes and slowly sat up. She looked around the dark room. The only source of light was from the window leading outside and the hallway light that leaked through the door’s window.
