Chapter 21. No Power is Eternal

"This poison is trying to kill him. Look, it doesn't take more than three hours, and the poison looks like it's going to burst his veins," Mike said as he pointed to the veins in Albert's hand that were turning blue.

The doctor's words snapped Judith out of her reverie. She took a breath and let it out slowly. She then smiled as the corners of her eyes crinkled. Then she said, "Give me a syringe. I hope my potion will buy you some time until you get the antidote."
