Chapter 38. Jealousy

Albert's eyes did not look away from the hairpin he was holding. His brain kept trying to dig up memories where he had seen a carving like the one on the hairpin, but he found nothing. Albert couldn't remember.

Occasionally, his attention was drawn to Ryn, who looked very happy because of the Freeemega members who joined the Golden Moon Pack. He did not expect Ryn would be that happy because she left them with a gaping wound.

"Daydreaming, huh?" Jayden's question surprised the Alpha. He sat down in the chair next to Albert while casting at Ryn. Then he eyed Albert and said, "Can't look away from her, hum?"

Albert winked a few times. He turned to Jayden and put the hairpin in his pocket. Damn! Jayden caught him off guard.

"Do not speak out of turn! I'm not thinking about her," Albert argued.

"I was watching you, Alpha. You barely even blinked when you looked at her." Jayden pulled one corner of his lips up.
