"Will this menu be good enough or should I add more desserts?" The chef asked me for the third time that morning.

"Chef Madrigal, I do not know anything about menus or the perfect combinations for the umpteenth time but whatever you make keep in mind the list of things I told you not to include in whatever you make, do you understand?" I retorted.

"Well of course sir, I just wanted to make sure…”

"That will be all." I cut him short and hung up.

I sighed exasperatedly and dropped my phone on the table. Roselyn had agreed to me taking her and the twins out for dinner the previous night and it was happening today and after what had happened between us the previous night, I wanted it to be perfect for her and the kids as well. This was the first time we were all eating out as a family and I wanted to make a lasting impression on my children. It's exciting to even think of it, my children, mate and I would be having dinner together.
