29. Beetroot juice

That morning, Katie was walking with a tray, about to climb the stairs to Jonathan's room. Theresia's call for her name made her stop her steps. The servant girl immediately turned towards the source of the voice, and a middle-aged woman was walking towards her.

"You didn't forget, did you? what I told you to do?" asked Theresia as she checked the contents of the tray Katie was carrying.

Toast, lamb, and beetroot juice were already on the tray.

"Not at all, ma'am," replied Katie politely.

The woman nodded and displayed straight-lined lips.

"Good! Come to my daughter-in-law immediately. I think she's so exhausted that she doesn't have the energy to go downstairs to get her breakfast," pleaded Theresia, who again shook the folding fan in front of her neck.

"Yes, ma'am." Katie immediately walked upstairs to fulfill her employer's request. Although she was actually reluctant, she remembered the last time Elena told her to compress the body part that was right between the girl's crotch.
