Chapter 3

She begins to crawl towards me as I ready myself for her attacks. She spits acid towards me, missing my head by only inches. I go under her to grab a shield so I can block her attacks. “She seems weak right below her abdomen!” I looked towards her abdomen to see that she was pregnant with eggs. Now I had a plan forming in my head on how to take her down. She spits more acid at me. This time I blocked it, throwing it back at her. It burns two of her eyes out of their sockets. She growls at me with hate in her features. I throw the shield at her to daze her. I use a sword to cut off one of her legs, grabbing it to stab her in the stomach! But she lets out an angry scream before she grabs me, tossing me around like a rag doll. One of her legs slices through my right leg, my chest, and both of my arms. She spits acid in my face, disintegrating my jaw. Her fangs came close to me and next thing I know I feel a sharp pain. She bit me! That bitch! I could hear my heart beating rapidly in my chest! The venom was working its way fast throughout my cardiovascular system. My liver and kidneys were shutting down and my lungs burned as the venom ran its course to my respiratory system, causing me to gasp for air. Blood poured out of my body. The venom was strong, killing off my nerves because I couldn’t feel myself urinating or anything for that matter. In a matter of seconds I would be dead! I collapse to the ground, unable to hold my body up. “Get up!” The voice in my head shouts! It took me a moment to register what he said since my brain was almost done for.

“I can’t!” I say weakly.

“Yes you can! Now get up! We cannot give up! We have a loving companion out there waiting for us! Now get up, Damian!” The voice encourages. Suddenly, I felt like I had the ability to take on everything this bitch had. I slowly raise up my head to glare at her. She looked at me with curiosity. I used my chin to move towards her, then my arms started to work again, then my legs and finally my whole body was boiling with rage.

“How? HOW CAN THIS BE!!! YOU HAVE ENOUGH VENOM IN YOU TO KILL A THOUSAND STRONG MEN!!” The warden spider Queen shouts. The prisoners cheered me on which sparked my rage and willpower more. True I was bleeding and poisoned but somehow I was willing myself forward. I grabbed the leg that I cut off from the ground and stabbed her in her heart. She screams in pain as I push it in more deeper, penetrating through her back. Blood poured out of her mouth as she collapsed. She tried to move but she couldn’t find it in herself to move towards me. The prisoners all cheered once again as the queen was dying on the ground, squirming for her life.

“Get to the gates! Now!” I yelled. The prisoners all left the arena. I put the weapons I used down on the ground as I left to open the gates for all the prisoners. They all lined up on the walls as I came towards the gates. I turned around facing all of them. “You are all free. But most of us are here because of something we did. Innocents, you are free to go back to your lives and your families.” I signal for the innocent ones to get out. One of them stops and looks at me.

“You don’t look well. I highly recommend a doctor or someone that can help.” I nod and grunt at him. He leaves the prison as I face the others.

“The rest of you that are rapists, murderers, thieves, or otherwise. I’m giving you a chance of redemption. If you continue your crimes outside of these walls, I will hunt all of you down and will not hesitate to kill you myself! Do I make myself clear?” The guilty look scared but they all nod their heads as they understand me. “Well then… GO!” I yell. They all started running as I slowly made my way towards the spider Warden in a threatening manner. I crouched to meet her at face level.

“What do you want? Isn’t my death enough?” She asks.

“I didn’t come back for questions. I need answers! Where did I come from? Who am I to you? Why was I here?” I asked. She lets out a swallow laugh as she coughs up more blood.

“You really don’t remember, do you?” She asks, grinning from ear to ear. I growled at her as I was thinking of ways to torture her. “You… you are nothing but an abomination to this world! Lord Raiden demanded you to be here to be tortured for the rest… of your days. As far as I’m concerned there is no life out there for you! Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide from what you are!” She says, breathing shallowly.

“I’m not running or hiding.” I say as I get up. I decided that she will die another painful death before she is done with. I grab a torch that was lit off the wall and head towards her again. I looked towards her abdomen again. Her eggs are on the verge of coming out of her, ready to hatch and eat these prisoners. Good riddance!

“My death will not bring you peace!” She says.

“No but it’s a start.” I throw down the torch, burning her alive. I turned and headed towards the exit as her screams of pain echoed beautifully in my ears.
