MIA POV

I desperately wanted to burst into that house, maybe break down the door in the process, but I already promised Craig that I was going to wait until he arrived. I don’t know why he was so adamant about seeing me, considering that I had chased my husband here and needed his advice on whether I should attack or not.

“Do not attack, wait there for me so I can access the situation for you, you hear?” Craig had demanded a few minutes ago.

I don’t know how long I would have to wait for him to appear, but hopefully not long enough. It’s just so tiring trying to keep up with a lot of things… especially Rhys.

The hood of my car bumped and I shrieked. Craig slipped his hand by the open window, opened the car, and slid into the seat.

“You can’t just scare me like that,” I said to him, exasperated and breathing harshly.

He smiled charmingly at me. “Mia, you’re not some lady, you can handle anyone who tries to hurt you.”
