As Elaine raised her head, her eyes fell on Ashlyn's gloomy and stoic face. This made her feel inexplicably nervous and afraid. Seeing how she was being taken to somewhere unknown by Ashlyn, Elaine couldn't help but be suspicious.

She knew that it wasn't right for her to beat these doubts. After all, Ashlyn had always protected her. However, she couldn't forget the hostility shown by Ashlyn towards her.

However, regardless of how she felt, she couldn't go against Ashlyn, especially not when those fierce and commanding eyes fell on her, letting her know that it will be best for her to obediently follow her or else the consequences would be worse.

Elaine was always used to being scared of Ashlyn.

Once being led out of the pack's territory, she extended her hand to grab on to Ashlyn's shirt and tightly gripped.
