Chapter 16

Elena's POV 

I woke up with a slight headache. I yawned and rubbed my eyes as the chirping of birds filled my ears and the rays of the sun hit my face asking me to welcome the new day. 

I tried to move but couldn't as I felt a huge weight over me. My movements instantly halted and my eyes snapped open. 

As my mind registered the surrounding, the last day's incident came in front of my eyes. The breath hitched into my throat. I am engaged, engaged to my worst nightmare. 

The last thing I remember is that I lost my consciousness when the devil was taking advantage of my body and my helpless condition. 

I lifted my head to find him sleeping over me. My head slumped back and my eyes closed in the hope that everything that I have experienced in the last month is just a nightmare and my life would be back to normal when I will open my eyes.
