Chapter 17 The Biggest Lie

Paige's POV

"She's in a comatose state. I'm sorry but all we can do is pray for her recovery."

I felt my knees getting weak as I supported myself by holding on to the wall. Ares punched the wall, Achi sat on the bench, completely weak and Alex turned his back. He walked away quietly, with a balled fists.

Simon and Aunt Precy got involved in a traffic accident. Simon died on the spot, protecting Aunt Precy who later fell into a coma.

I don't know what to do. I can see Ares and Achi's fear. I can only pray for Aunt Precy's recovery.

"This is that bastard's fault!" Ares growled, blaming Simon.

I squeezed my eyes closed. It was no one's fault. It was an accident. Simon didn't know it would happen. What will happen to Steve? Speaking of Steve, I saw him a while ago in the morgue. He was sitting on the floor, staring at his father's cold body.

Swallowing hard, I forced myself to stand up. Steve needs someone.
