Chapter 9 Love Exists

Paige's POV

"What happened to mom?" Alex asked me after he sat across from me. We're eating dinner in the dining area and Aunt Precy's not here. She doesn't want to leave her room. She doesn't want her sons to see her puffy eyes.

"Simon happened," Ares answered with an annoyed tone. He sat on the chair and shook his head. He glanced at Achilles. "You should bring her some food."

"Can we talk?" I asked, causing them to look at me. Ares' eyes are unhappy. It seems like he knew what I want to say.

Ares shook his head. "You can't change my mind, Paige. That bastard will just hurt her."

I looked at Achilles. He lifted his arm and shrugged his shoulder. I heaved a sigh and turned fo Alex and he just looked away.

I chewed my bottom lip and put the spoon and fork down. "She broke up with Simon because she know that you three hates him."

"That's good to know," Ares said in sarcasm.
