Chapter 79 Chapter Seventy Nine

Mark's frown deepened and his eyes swept up and down my frame for almost a minute before he burst out, "I may have amnesia, but I'm not stupid. How could I possibly have such a young mother? How old am I?"

I couldn't help the laugh that bubbled up my throat. I was sad that he lost his memory but it felt really good, too good, to have him back. To listen to him throw his blunt statements without a second thought.

Turns out his memory is the only thing he lost afterall. Thank God. I don't think I would be able to handle him if he turned out to lose his memory and become dense on top of that. He still had his wits around him.
