27. A Hidden CCTV

Nikkie's POV

"What? Tired, you say? Good, then what do you want now?" exclaimed Krystal in a high voice. Anger was evident in her tone.

It's still early in the morning, but already things are surprising me. As I recall, last night, Richard did not go straight back to him.

Even so, I still told Richard to go back to his room. Sleeping in Richard's company sounded tempting, but it would blur the boundaries I had worked so hard to build.

"I'll go back upstairs once you're asleep." So said Richard, and after that, he didn't want to listen to anything anymore. Instead, Richard tightened the embrace of his arms around my waist.

I shouldn't have trusted Richard's words so quickly. I should not have slept well until morning to wake Richard up before morning came.

But who would have thought that Krystal would come home so early? Even Richard didn't seem to expect it at all.
