Chapter 33: The secret

JENNY stared back at Yazed when they sat facing each other.

"I just want to let you know that from this day on, I will be the one to pay you. You will not obey any orders from anyone but me. You're no longer under my father, so I don't want to see you get close to him. If you violate that rule, I will not hesitate to fire you from your job, is that clear?"

Jenny was relieved because of his condition. "Should I thank you now that I am free from your father’s hand?" Jenny couldn't stop being sarcastic in her speech.
