Jillie’s POV

                I hadn’t seen Jarren since Friday night when he told me about the prophecy in the vampire book. It was still hard for me to believe. I didn’t know if I really did or not. I knew he was spending time with his cousin, but I still missed him. I knew, however, that he would come during the middle of the night. I’ve woken up the past three mornings with Crocus flowers on my nightstand. He was so sweet.

                I was sitting in front of my mirror, putting the finishing touches on my makeup. It was almost eight, and Mason’s party was due to start any minute. I’d just finished when Kaileeh appeared in my vision.
