“What's wrong, Dr. Derrick? You have been moody since you arrived at the office. Couldn't you get the contract you told me about? Or is it about that so-called lady you always tell me about?” Nancy asked Derrick a thousand and one question within one breath.

Derrick was in his lab coat, sitting on his office chair with his hands resting on the table before him, as hospital files and equipment played with his sight on the table.

Derrick shut his eyes and angrily bit his lower lip, and remained in that position for a few minutes.

However, Nancy already knew that since the day Hailey was brought to the hospital by her Mom, Derrick's behaviors had changed.

Occasionally, he looks moody. Perhaps because Hailey might have annoyed him. Another time, he looks happy because Hailey did what he was pleased with.

This made Nancy grin at him, wondering if Derrick was moody because of Hailey, his so-called ex-girlfriend.
