Nancy couldn't tell whether she should smile or not. She couldn't believe that the Derrick she knew in her childhood was the same Derrick she had been mingling with for a long time without noticing it.

Conversely, Derrick was also lost in thoughts as he wondered if what his Mom said was true.

Within minutes, Mrs. Dorothy came back with an old picture in her hand, with a smile plastered on her face.

“Here,” Mrs. Dorothy placed the medium size picture before them. She said, "There are two families in the picture. My husband, me, and Derrick. The other family was standing with Nancy and her parents. Can any of you remember this picture?”

They lifted their heads and gazed at each other skeptically, trying to recall everything, but they couldn't because it had been ages since the picture was snapped.

Aside from that, they were still kids.

“No, I can't recall anything. However, I could only recall that I had a good childhood friend who was a girl. I can't remember anything more than that.” D
