“You know about the gala tomorrow right?”

As they strolled through the streets of Italy, all eyes were on them.

Alexander walked next to her, his hands in his pockets and he took slow steps but large strides. Rain struggled to keep up with him but she did.

“Of course I do, I’m your assistant” Was Rain’s reply. She’d refused to look him in the eyes again once they stepped down from the car. She wasn’t sure what was going on between the both of them but what she knew was that his eyes are always the reason.

She’d look into them just once and get lost in them, trying to decipher every single emotion, trying to find out who he really was…did she know who he was?. She’d seen so many sides of him that she’s lost count.

“Do you have a dress for it or should I get you one?”

“Isn’t that supposed to be my job?” She cocked up a brow.

“Think of it as an early birthday present,”
