Narrator's POV Somewhere Secret, Alpine CoveJoe hid behind some bushes. He couldn't do this. Damn. Wasn't he the one who said anything was possible? But the Mitos had tortured him. Messed with his mind beyond reason. He stood up from his hiding place, then hid back immediately. Harver Morvacain was there. He needed to get to Emily. Before he knew it, a younger version of Harver Morvacain stood in front in him. There was nowhere to run to. "Who are you? ", Harver asked. "I'm Joe. Joe Wolford".Joe couldn't sense any Demon Essence from him. Nor a Mito. Joe stood up. "Who are you? ", he asked. The young man scratched his forehead. "I don't know. I'm lost. Could you help me find my way back? "Joe's senses picked up Mitos. They we're watching the two of them converse, but they were keeping their distance. Narrator's POV A few years ago, FlashbackA young Harver Morvacain trudged on, his carriage waiting for him. He was not exactly happy about going on a secret mission. He'd just confessed his feelings to Marie a week prior, and Mina's birthday was in a few days.He resolved to finish the mission in two days and return. But he was in shock when he got to Trafford. Whoever has this book in his possession can conquer the world. The Shadows empowers, sustains and makes everyone bow". Harver didn't understand a word. "The Lioness sent me on a secret mission to help you find a book that might be a myth". "Its not a myth. My grandfather once willed the book". "What happened to him afterwards? ""He ran mad". "Oh". "But that is because he held the book for his personal gain. I wish to will it to bring back the rain". "Rain? ""That gods has decided to punish us. They released terrible demons on us and withheld our rain. I have lost more than half of my people, and the people who used to look at me with so much love and respect scorn at the mention of my name". He was dejected. "Demons? What do you mean? Narrator's povFlashbackHarver was escaping. He'd discovered a secret that changed everything about his mission.. The Book of Shadows was not the key to stopping the demons. It was the key to control them. King Trafford desired to have these demons to himself. His armies chased after Harver for all they were worth, but he didn't bugde. All of a sudden, his horse stopped, throwing him over. He landed in the snow, wondering why his horse was running away and leaving him on the cold floor. He could smell them. Mitos. He started to run back, towards the army. The Mitos infested humans chased after him. They crashed into the incoming army, hoarding them. Harver realized he was going to be stuck between the devil and the Red Sea if he didn't find a way out. He ran into General Lothbrok. "You bastard!. You dared to betray the king", he said, jumping off his horse. "He's the one who betrayed us. He's planning on controlling the Mitos for his own benefit. He doesn't care about you".

Narrator's POV Somewhere Secret, Alpine CoveWhen the Captain had burst in and heard the alarms, he'd expected to see armed guards waiting, but everyone was in a frantic rush to escape from the building. Someone, or something landed from above, hitting him with great force. It was Harver. A Mito infested Harver. He tried to move, but he couldn't. Harver had psychically rooted him to the spot. Harver rushed at him, but fortunately Joe came to his rescue, jumping in. They struggled, the Mitos coming from Harver's body and entangling Joe. Joe's Demon Essence charged up, burning the Mitos off. Joe kicked Harver from him, but before Joe could blink, Harver was back on him again. He pushed Joe to the floor, the Mito trying to enter Joe's mouth. He struggled. "Do something! ", he yelled to the Captain. The Captain tried to move, but he was still stuck to the spot.
