Mission aborted

**Alexander’s POV**

I sat unmoving on my office chair, blinking and unblinking severally in disbelief at Chad who was sitting right in front of me with a smile on his face.

He looked different though, it was obvious that Mary’s death had done something to him, but the fact that he was out of his room, and not behaving wild as he should have stunned me.

“How..?” I whispered, staring at him in disbelief.

Chad shrugged and flashed me a small smile.

“I still do not know either.” he replied, “I think I missed riling you up, it quickened my recovery process.”

I missed him. Fúcking missed him. Dimitri’s services could never be compared to Chad’s. I was already beginning to go crazy at the prospect of working with Dimitri and I was insanely overjoyed that he was right in front of me, looking healthy.

Someone knocked loudly on my office door and from where I sat, I could already smell the person. It was Dimitri.

Speak of the devil.

“Come on in,” I said, and almost immediately he walked in with
