Releasing prisoners

Emily's POV

I was still seated on the floor, trying hard to gather my strength together because the minute I stood up, I wouldn't stop running. I wanted to heal so fast, but I couldn't force Ariel.

We were carrying Alex's pup. She was weak and had been craving for her mate. But I told her to be strong. To be strong for Alex, to be strong for the pup we were carrying.

"Let me try and heal you. I can't promise you that it will heal completely, but..." Ariel began.

"Save your strength for healing." I cut her off and sat there.

I shut my eyes, not caring if Ethan found me sitting on the large stone. As the healing process began, it was cut short by the people screaming and running as fast as they could. I snapped my eyes open, and immediately, I got up on my feet but ended up falling back on the floor.

I realised I couldn't stand on my feet because my wolf was still healing me, but as soon as Ariel noticed my uneasiness, she stopped. So, I got up.

The wound on my toes was half healed. I
