Emily's POV

Maybe this was the moment.

The moment when I needed to fight against him, locking me up and trying to force himself on me was enough—the number of people he had killed. Lots of guards, a lot of warriors, his father killed my father once before, he killed Laurel, starving able-bodied men till they don't even have the stamina anymore? What else could he not do?

All of that needs to end. The torturing of innocent people, killing of innocent people, had to end. And I promise myself to end him. I turned to William and The guard. The guard was shivering in fear because of the fear he had imprinted on them. I loosened the chain totally and got up on my feet. Placing a hand on his shoulder, I nodded positively.

"There is no reason for you to get scared. You can do this. I will help you get out of here."

But he still didn't stop. Well, I thought he was a brave guard.
