Such a Coward

Emily's POV

Blood spewed out of my mouth as Ethan punched me. Whatever he did to me, I promised myself never to cry.

Not now. Not ever.

I don't want him to see me as a weakling. Never! I clenched my fist and tried to prevent him from gripping my neck. Just then, a sword appeared in his hand, and he was keen on slitting my throat.

But before it could reach my throat, I raised my hand; flames of fire emerged from my palm, and I used it to tackle him instead. I used it to smack his cheek, and I swear it got burnt.

Ethan cried out in pain and fell on the floor. The sword disappeared from his hand.

Using that opportunity, I got up from the floor and ran out as fast as possible. I ran out of that vicinity, looking for the poor little girl I had just saved—that wicked bastard.

When I saw Ethan from afar again, I sprinted to the other side. It was then I saw William and the guard.
