Sleeping on the same bed for the first time

Miguel's POV

I gaped at her exposed neck, as I continued to dry her hair. It wasn't easy for me to do that, with the way she kept on nodding and shivering.

Though she was leaning on the lounge chair, she couldn't keep her head in place.

“Can't you keep your head in a place? Must you nod?” I furrowed my brows at her.

Though her hair was a bit dry, I had to be certain it was dry, to prevent her from catching a cold. She shivered but didn't answer my questions.

“Are you cold? Do you wish to rest in the house?” I leaned down to whisper.

She didn't reply to my words, and that got me curious.

“Jewel? Did you hear my question?” I dropped the towel and moved in front of her. “What's wrong? Did you—”

Oh, she's asleep.

I lightly touched her shoulders, but she didn't stir. She kept on sleeping like a baby.

“Seems that I will take you up to your room.”

I gently carried her up from the chair.

She sighed in her sleep but didn't wake. I carried her towards the house as I made certain not to bum
