Silent Confessions.

Alexander's POV

"Since no one is saying anything," I broke the silence that had lingered for over half an hour. His eyes still looked the same: fearless and intimidating. I tried to hide my fury with a smirk, waiting for the right time to break the news to him. "How about I tell you something interesting, Davis?"

"I love interesting things," he smiled.

I took an envelope from my chest pocket, opening it so he could read the contents. "This is a cheque for a hundred thousand dollars. You can have it, a compensation for everything."

He looked at it voraciously. "Why?"

"Just take it. I didn't seem to get any evidence. You're one lucky man," I smiled. "But if you refuse," I said, standing to leave.

"Wait!" He tried to stand, forgetting his feet were tightly knotted. "I'll have it."

I knew a leopard could never change its spots. If only he knew it was a neatly woven trap. I handed the money over, ordering my men to release him.
