I wasn't shocked when Valerian told the room he was the next king to the fox shifters. I had seen as much in the hospital room. I was heartbroken that he lost his family, but was glad that he was still alive. I had seen what he had been through in his life and it was mostly good so far, but there were some dark things.

The weeks seemed to pass by quickly and before I knew it we were sitting in Doc's office with Valerian and Jax. Valerian had a very obvious baby bump. Doc had done a check up and was pleased with the twins progress. Valerian was just hitting the 2 month mark and they were finding out the genders today. Doc sat us in the chairs in front of his desk. As we made our way back to our coven I thought about how we had pulled that off. Nate had been right to distract the wolves with a rouge attack. I didn't care about those filthy mutts that died. I was startled when my stomach began to rapidly grow. That was the moment I realized it was all because of that woman smoking that pipe. I was trying to help Valerian and went into a panic when his water broke. I didn't know anything about actually giving birth and definitely didn't know anything about male birth.
