Chapter 21Drake’s POVI was seated in my office trying to calculate the profit margin we had had last week when someone knocked my office door. Hazel’s POVI was going through the rest of the files I had been given when the woman that was in Drake’s office walked past my desk. Her hair looked dishelved and she was trying to button up her coat with one hand as the left hand was holding her heels. Hazel’s POVI had racked my brain for days trying to think of who would have hated me so much to threaten my children. An answer came to me one evening when I was brushing Kyla’s hair. I had totally forgotten my encounter with Roxie. I was not sure if she was going to act on her threat. Hazel’s POVI was playing with the twins. Kaiser had invented a game and wanted us to join in. It was a fun game. We each had thirty seconds to look around the room then we had to close our eyes. The ‘leader’ would then ask us to point out something with a specific color that was in the room. It was fun and challenging at the same time. Between my two children, Kyla was more outspoken. Chapter 28Hazel’s POVI was having a hard time concentrating at work. My head was aching from worrying about a lot of things. I wished I could just disappear with my kids and go to a secluded place. I hated attention because when people paid close attention to you, they found one or two things that were bad about you. I did not want the scrutiny that came with being close to the boss.
