Fall Again

I stared at the slow-moving wall clock, as if reluctant to pass this late night. The chest-pounding events had led me to end up in my room alone. Rose and Oracle were already in their room, enjoying a sleep that probably wouldn't have felt good to Rose.

I was still waiting for the arrival of Axe, who had left with a lot of guilt in his heart. The disappointed look in his eyes really hit my chest hard. Even I would be angry if I was accused without proof, especially if the accusation wasn't true. I really regret slapping him.

Second after second had passed.

I checked my phone which still didn't have any notifications. Where was Axe exactly? Why doesn't he remember going home. Isn't here, where I am right now, where he wants to be?

I anxiously imagined him out there, afraid that his fever would rise again. I hope that doesn't happen. Or maybe I should just call Axe? Yes, I will. That's right. I should have done that earlier.

My hand moved quickly to dial Axe's number on my cell phone.
