“Sweet?”

“Don’t go, please.”

“Sweet I am here, I am not going anywhere okay?”

Alex came close and lay beside her. He started patting her back but she didn’t seem satisfied by it.

“Can I stay in your arms?” She asked again. Her voice was so babyish like that of a child.

Without answering her, Alex pulled Clara so close to his chest. Placing her head on his chest and his arms wrapped around her.

He made sure to play with her hair and ear until he couldn’t feel her moving anymore.

“Sweet?” He called to make sure she was asleep and when he didn’t hear a sound, he knew she was fast asleep.

He made sure to spend about thirty minutes, making sure she went deep into the sleep and after that, he placed her head on the pillow and gave her a peck.
