CRYSTINA’S POV He called me Crystina! Luka called me Crystina and it felt strange. When was the last time he called me by my name? CRYSTINA’S POV Mellissa had a big and victorious smile on her face as she walked into the house with her designer’s ensemble. I turned to look at Luka for the first time that day and he was staring at Mellissa with a smile. “Welcome Mellissa,” he gestured for her to sit next to him. “We’re having lunch right now and I was hoping you would love to join,” “Of course, it would be an honor to have lunch with Alpha and Luna,” She gave me a side-eye. Turning to Mary, Luka instructed, “Direct these men to the room before mine on the second floor. I’d called for the interior decoration. Once they’re here as well, do the same,” he commanded. LUKA’S POV On Thursday morning, I ordered an arrest of Harryand the owner of that newsletter. I wanted to find out the root of the news and whoever decided to make such news public needs to be taught a lesson. Nobody messes with the Alpha’s family and thinks they’ll ever go scot-free. Crystina’s POV After I saw Mellissa and Luka almost kissing in his room or maybe they were done kissing, I ran out of the house and kept running till I got tired, too tired to even cry. I ended up at the bus station and stayed under the pavilion for hours before returning back to his house. It was on my way back that tears slipped out of my eyes. He said there was nothing between them, he told me Mellissa meant nothing to him and she was just a nobody. How come he was kissing her and holding her tenderly? That was all a lie. It was Monday morning already and that means, I have to resume at the pre-school as planned together with Paige. Throughout the weekend, I’d tried to avoid both Mellissa and Luka. LUKA’S POV My Beta, Baba told me that Crystina would be teaching at the preschool from Monday, and throughout the weekend, I looked forward to dropping her off at the school myself either if she wants it or not. I couldn’t bear the thought of her walking down to the school all the way from my place. Even if we’re not on talking terms, that doesn’t mean I should let her suffer like that. Those were my own thoughts but I didn’t know she had other plans of her own. I waited outside on Monday morning till around ten but she didn’t show up. It was when I asked Mary to check her room that I realized she was gone. During lunch, I went to the school to see the principal for something else because I swore not to step foot into that school for a while because of Crystina. Crystina’s POV “How was your first day, Luna?” Miss Mary asked me as soon as I returned home. I gave her a small smile. “It was eventful,” In all sincerity, I didn’t have difficulty teaching those kids. They are so smart and adorable and they made everything so easy for me. I wasn’t expecting such cooperation from them because of how they replaced me with their old teacher. I guess the previous teacher must have done a good job training them because they had no resentment whatsoever. “That’s good. You should take a warm bath, I’ll bring you dinner,” “Thank you,” I guess having to eat my meals in my room had sent out the right message to everyone and now, they’ve accepted it as the new norm. LUKA’S POV The only reason why I survived through two nights was because of my mate. Crystina was right there by my side, holding my hand. I could barely lift a finger because of how weak I was. I was dying and she was there to help me through it all. Maxim also aided with the healing process and I was grateful I wasn’t wounded in my wolf form because that would’ve been disastrous. I’d gone with some of the warriors to inspect the borders because of some fishy movements around the perimeters. If only the warriors had reported the strange movement to me earlier, the casualty wouldn’t be up to this. I was not the only wounded wolf, more than ten of my warriors are wounded and about two or three turned up dead.
