Crystina’s POV After I saw Mellissa and Luka almost kissing in his room or maybe they were done kissing, I ran out of the house and kept running till I got tired, too tired to even cry. I ended up at the bus station and stayed under the pavilion for hours before returning back to his house. It was on my way back that tears slipped out of my eyes. LUKA’S POV My Beta, Baba told me that Crystina would be teaching at the preschool from Monday, and throughout the weekend, I looked forward to dropping her off at the school myself either if she wants it or not. I couldn’t bear the thought of her walking down to the school all the way from my place. Even if we’re not on talking terms, that doesn’t mean I should let her suffer like that. Crystina’s POV “How was your first day, Luna?” Miss Mary asked me as soon as I returned home. I gave her a small smile. “It was eventful,” In all sincerity, I didn’t have difficulty teaching those kids. They are so smart and adorable and they made everything so easy for me. I wasn’t expecting such cooperation from them because of how they replaced me with their old teacher. I guess the previous teacher must have done a good job training them because they had no resentment whatsoever. “That’s good. LUKA’S POV The only reason why I survived through two nights was because of my mate. Crystina was right there by my side, holding my hand. I could barely lift a finger because of how weak I was. I was dying and she was there to help me through it all. Maxim also aided with the healing process and I was grateful I wasn’t wounded in my wolf form because that would’ve been disastrous. I’d gone with some of the warriors to inspect the borders because of some fishy movements around the perimeters. CRYSTINA’S POV After I was able to escape from Luka’s stronghold, I ran to my room to calm myself down. My heart was beating like a bitch from how close we were. It’s been a while since he held me like that and my stupid heart couldn’t take it. I got ready for class even though I knew I would be getting there late again. As I was having breakfast, the wannabe Luna, Mellissa walked into the dining area with a glare on her face, and that glare was directed at me. “Have you given Luka his meal?” She asked Mary. Mellissa was already parading herself as the new Luna of Moon Valley Pack both in the mansion and around the pack. “He rejected your meal, Mellissa,” At that point, the memories of that night when the doctor walked her out of the room came to my head and I laughed.
