Chapter Thirty-Nine

Seb's car eventually arrived at her house, their entire ride was filled with silence neither of them dared to utter a single word.

"Do you want to come in for tea or coffee?" Scar offered feeling right about it.

But to her dismay, he shook his head, "Maybe next time, I need to attend something real soon." Seb would have loved to stay but he had important work to do with Lucas.

"Alright, I'll be going in then, goodnight." Scar tried to hide her disappointment but failed, Seb saw right through her facade, he wanted to stay but couldn't.

Scar opened the door and was about to leave when Seb held her hand, "Aren't you forgetting something?" he arched a brow.

Scar was confused wondering what he was on about, "No, I've got my purse and phone with me, so I'm set."

He pouted his lips, "And what about my kiss?"

"What kiss?" Scar mused as a grin crept on her face.

He pouted even more, "If you're not giving me my kiss then I'll take you home with me, or better yet to another city."
