LEONIE

“Oh, God!” I groaned as I flopped down on the bed.

I had been working for hours and I was so damn tired. Every part of my body was hurting. It was literally so unbearable, and acutely painful. I was so tired of it, and I wanted some level of peace now. I wished I could get that, and not this stress that seemed to surround me now.

I closed my eyes and sought for sleep on a hungry stomach. I had not eaten at all throughout the day, and I only drank tap water to quench the taste. The water was not good for drinking, but it wasn’t like I had a choice. I was about to faint.

Ting! Ting!

I blinked slightly. What was that? I slowly turned slowly to see a maid in a black and cream costume come in with a tray of food in her hands.

“Get the hell out! The last thing I want right now is one more person making a mockery of me. I have enough to last me a day, so please can I just have some peace now?” I asked calmly.

She ignored me, and placed the food on the low table, bringing it to me. She
